    Signature Collection Campaign in Biratnagar

    thumb [ Biratnagar ] - Two day signature collection campaign was organized by Youth Initiative in collaboration with Computer Association Nepal (CAN) Morang, East IT community and Leaders. The program was held in the information technology Expo at Jain Bhawan, Biratnagar. Under the theme Right To Information Act (RTI), the slogan of the campaign was "Information is my Right and ensure every Nepali people equal access to technology and information.

    Addressing Youth Agendas in Local Level

    thumb [ Dang ] - around 30 young people gathered in Ghorahi, Dang to have a discussion and dialogue on local issues of young people. It was an opportunity for youth to come together and work out together on common issues and concerns. Among participants, Mr. Madan Kumar Sharma, President of Youth Park, a local NGO shared his views and added that Village Development Committee,(VDC) Municipality and District Development Committee(DDC) are not still paying attention for Youth's agendas.

    Celebration of International Human Rights

    thumb Marking the 63rd International Human Rights Day, Youth Initiative organized different programs together with Government and non-government organizations in different parts of the country. Some of the highlights of the events were rallies, football match and media interaction on this issue related to Human Rights.

    Youth to CIAA to Prime Minister to Secretaries of Nepal Government- Anti Corruption Campaign speaking strong and wide

    thumb [ Nepal ] - Taking initiative against corruption is not an easy work to do. From individuals to Government, National and International agencies are working and raising voices against corruption. Nepal became a party to the United Nations Convention against Corruption in February 2011 and on 29 August 2011, the cabinet decided to chart out strict anti-corruption bill .

    Stakeholders Meet on Voter Education and Registration

    thumb [ Various Districts ] - Our program about Youth on Voting Rights and Voter Registration is all set to kick off. Recently, in all our Strategic Locations, coordination meeting was accomplished with different stakeholders with an aim to share our ideas and get feedback and suggestions on how to go together in implementation. Government Officers, Political leaders, Campus chief, Media Persons and Civil Society Members joined the meeting.

    Prime Minister Dr. Babu Ram Bhattarai acknowledged anti-corruption campaign

    thumb [ Baluwatar, Kathmandu ] - As the anti-corruption movement Bhrastachari Lai Kira Paros” May the corrupt rot” led by Youth Initiative and Nepal Unites (Facebook based group) is spreading throughout the country. Young people are taking voluntary initiatives in creating awareness, coming together to fight against corruption and different companies are producing t-shirt on their own.

    Only 53.44 % People are Registered in Voter List of Dang

    thumb [ Dang ] - 7th Sept. 2011 [Ghorahi, Dang] The Chief of District Election Office Dang Mr. Sheshmani Gautam has presented the data of only 53.44% people are enrolled in voter list. A huge mass is not registered till now according to him. YI Dang has organized Coordination Meeting with GO, NGO, INGO & civil society of Dang.

    thumb [ Kathmandu ] - Annual Orientation and Planning Meeting 2011-12 (AOPM) of Youth Initiative was held in Kathmandu just after the 11th Annual General Meeting. AOPM has finalized the annual program calendar as per the Annual Work Plan & Budget- 2011-12 (AWAB).
