"No Decision About My Future Without My Participation" Youth Initiative in collaboration with the Nepal Voters' Rights Forum - NVRF, organized a 'Youth and Gen Z Dialogue' on Out-of-District Voting (ODV) and Out-of-Country Voting (OCV) in Kathmandu, bringing together over 78 participants,from diverse backgrounds. The event was hosted by Susmita Yd- General Secretary of Youth Initiative and welcomed by Sadhana Guragain- Board Member of Youth Initiative. The dialogue explored the possibilities, challenges, and future pathways for inclusive electoral participation in Nepal. Discussions were enriched by a detailed, fact-based presentation by Sharu Joshi- Member of Nepal Policy Institute and Radhika Regmi- Election Experts from Nepal, which significantly strengthened evidence-based advocacy on ODV and OCV. We were honored to have Speakers Arjun Bhattarai- President of NGO Federation of Nepal, Shankar Upadhyaya- Blind Youth Association Nepal, Angel Lama- Blue Diamond Society, Prarthana Thapa Chhetri- National Election Observation Committee and Rijan Rana Magar- Gen Z movement alliance. The dialogue was moderated by Yogesh Kaphle-Presisent of Youth Initiative. Key takeaways were shared by analytical speaker Purushottam Bista. and the event concluded with remarks from Bhakta Bishwokarma president of NVRF which reinforced the importance of continued advocacy, political commitment, and early preparation to make elections truly inclusive and participatory.
